Sister Group Partnership

By Toutatis is our newly adopted sister group, working alongside Legio XIIII GMV Cohort II at events to broaden the historical narrative we present to the public. While our Legion portrays the Roman military presence, By Toutatis provides the perspective of Celtic communities living under Roman rule in Britannia, with a particular focus on the early La Tene period.

This focus allows them to highlight the cultural traditions, material culture and identity of Celtic peoples during a formative era that shaped later interactions with Rome. Through their interpretation, visitors gain insight into how native populations lived, adapted, resisted, and coexisted within the Roman world. Together, our groups present a more complete and immersive depiction of life in Roman Britain. Thus showcasing both the soldiers who occupied the frontier and the Celtic communities who experienced and influenced life under Roman rule.
